Tilt Rods

Our most popular tilt rod option is our traditional front mount tilt rod. This tilt rod style is the one regularly associated with plantation shutters, and is a large part of their elegant look. Because the tilt rod is on the front of the shutters, it’s easy to tilt open your shutters so light can come in and completely close them for more privacy.

You can also choose our rear-mounted tilt rod, which is another easy way to have the look of a hidden tilt rod, but is less expensive than an internally mounted gear mechanism. There’s a thin metal strip on the back corner of each louver that orchestrates the movement of your plantation shutters.
